What is TAJ?

The name TAJ was inspired from TAJ MAHAL, the famous marble sculptor and symbol of love in India which was built by Shajahan in 1400 AD. TAJ operating system was built from scratch using C++ and assembly. The main aim of developing kernel in C++ is to take advantage of object oriented features of the language. However this results into somewhat less effecient machine codes taking slight more execution time. The power of OOP was intensionally used to design a well modularized kernel which results into easely extendeble modules. A very small part of kernel is written in assembly in order to run efficiently frequently used codes.

Is it free?

Yes, TAJ operating system is absolutly free. You can download the image from this website and use it, you can also share it with your friends. TAJ operating system does not come with any warranty. Use it at your own risk. You can contribute in this by appreciating it and by giving your valuable comments and even by joining the project. Any type of comments whether good or bad are welcome.
